Swiss tennis star Belinda Bencic called Roger Federer “an amazing actor” and admitted that she absolutely enjoyed the Swiss tennis icon’s latest ad for Swiss tourism. In late March, Federer and comedian Trevor Noah teamed up for “The Ride of a Lifetime.” In a 3-minute and 46-second long clip, Federer and Noah were filmed exploring the astonishing Swiss landscape.
This was Federer’s third ad for Swiss tourism. “Oh my God, I feel like he’s an amazing actor. I think soon we’re going to see him in a movie or something. I felt that was so much fun and when you’re a Swiss person, you exactly understand the humor behind it, you know how the train is on time, how you can never ride without a ticket.
It’s like the worst crime in Switzerland. No one ever does it. And it was really so much fun. I watched the whole video with a big smile on my face,” Bencic said on Tennis Channel, via Sportskeeda.
Bencic loved Federer’s ad for Swiss tourism
Whenever 26-year-old Bencic feels she needs something to refresh, she goes to Switzerland and enjoys the nature.
“I definitely love the mountains, it’s a really great place for me to get energy from. So I love to be in Switzerland. There’s so many lakes and forests and mountains. The nature is just beautiful there. Whenever I’m feeling a bit down, it’s my place to go,” Bencic said.
Meanwhile, Bencic spoke about Switzerland following a 6-3 6-3 Charleston quarterfinal win. With that win, Bencic made a Charleston semifinal for the third time in her career. In 2014, Bencic made the Charleston semifinal in her debut at the tournament.
Last year, Bencic claimed the Charleston title after beating Ons Jabeur in the final. On Friday, Bencic routinely handled the job against Alexandrova to again return to a semifinal at the American clay-court tournament.
