Boris Becker took a moment to acknowledge Novak Djokovic’s greatness ahead of the Serb’s Australian Open final against Stefanos Tsitsipas. Djokovic, 35, is a 21-time Grand Slam champion and he is now just one win away from tying Rafael Nadal’s all-time Grand Slam record.
Even though Djokovic is well in his thirties, he is still a very dominant figure on the Tour. Becker, a former six-time Grand Slam champion, thinks it’s astonishing what Djokovic has been able to accomplish. “I don’t know if a tennis player can achieve something like that again.

“This is a dream final! When it is also about the world No. 1 ranking in a Grand Slam final, it fulfils childhood dreams. Tsitsipas has already said that,” Becker added. Djokovic and Tsitsipas are set to face off for the 13th time.
Tsitsipas was the one who had more success at the start of their rivalry as the Greek won two of their three meetings. Since then, Djokovic has won their last nine meetings and now owns a dominant 10-2 head-to-head against Tsitsipas.
Tsitsipas has been saying for the past couple of weeks that he is now a different player and it will be interesting to see if he can really become a Grand Slam champion when he meets Djokovic on Sunday.
