Cameron Smith had an interesting pre-conference before the Masters at Augusta. Smith will perform for the first time as a member of Liv Golf. The Australian has huge expectations before a new challenge in his career. He is happy that he returned to the competition which brings back memories, and it seems that he also had an interesting conversation with his former colleagues.
“I feel like I’m tournament ready. I’ve just got a few tweaks here and there to do. And like I said before, I feel like this course maybe find some of those things and it just comes naturally. So you know, I’ve spent probably an hour out in the range, already this afternoon, it was good to see some familiar faces, lots of laughs and lots of handshakes and it was really was really nice.
I really wasn’t sure what I was going to expect. Walking onto the range but it was good to see some familiar faces and lots of smiles.”- Smith said.
Cameron Smith and his goals
There is no doubt that Smith would like one of the LIV Golfers to win the tournament, but this will not be an easy task at all.
“I’m not sure what’s going to happen mate. I guess we’ll see
how the week unfolds and
for sure I’d love to you know see one of us guys get up
the top of the leaderboard there and really give it a nice shot.” Cameron Smith compared things then and now.
This will be an interesting challenge for him, and he will need a lot of patience.
“I think for me it’s it’s about letting the golf course. Almost
open itself up to you.
It’s never really a golf course, where you can go out
and try and make birdies.
And I think that’s maybe been
a part of my game especially this year,
where I feel like.. I played so good last year, had such a good
year. I feel like you have to be really patient around here..”
