We’ve often wondered who would take over from the Fab Four, but it has to be admitted that a bright future is looming. I like what I’m seeing. Going back to the beginning of the year, I think Novak Djokovic should have attended the Australian Open.
The same goes for the US Open. They were political decisions. It would have been nice to see Nole against Carlos Alcaraz in New York. Thanks also to Djokovic’s repeated absences, Carlos rose to the top of the ATP ranking and amazed everyone with his aggressive tennis.
He has tons of weapons at his disposal, as well as insane mental strength. It seems to me that he has an 11-1 balance in the decisive tiebreaks. Alcaraz has an innate ability: he manages to play fearlessly even in the decisive moments of matches.
A lot is expected of him in 2023.”
