Patrick Mouratoglou has identified two traits that allow great champions to win even on a bad day as he reveals that “focusing on the strategy to win points” and “having the right body language” are the keys. “My No 1 advice is: Don’t focus on yourself, but focus on the strategy to win the points knowing what you have today.
Because when you focus on you and your problems, you don’t focus on the opponent. My second advice is work on your body language and your attitude. The body language comes from the way you speak to yourself. So find a way to talk to yourself in a way that helps you have the best possible body language, which will help you also keep positive and keep your focus again on the game and not on yourself.
The champions on a bad day, control only those things and forget all the rest that they have no control on,” Mouratoglou explained in a video uploaded on his Twitter account.
Why Champions are Champions ? They win more than others.

Mouratoglou certainly knows what he is talking about
For a decade, Mouratoglou worked with the great Serena Williams.
As great as Williams was, there were many days when she went out on the court not playing her best tennis. But Williams had the ability to win even when everything wasn’t clicking in her game on that particular day. Working with Williams for such a long period of time certainly gave Mouratoglou a great insight into how the ultimate champions think, act and behave in certain situations.
Since last April, Mouratoglou has been the coach of Simona Halep. After Halep underwent a nose surgery after the US Open, Mouratoglou agreed to work with Holger Rune for the remainder of the 2022 season. In late 2022, the ITIA announced that Halep was being suspended over a failed doping test.
Halep has been adamant that she never took the banned substance knowingly and Mouratoglou has made it clear that he also believes the Romanian is innocent.
