This December, the Kingdom will be hosting some of the biggest names of the game in Riyadh. Previously, the Diriyah Tennis Cup announced Daniil Medvedev, Nick Kyrgios, Alexander Zverev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Andrey Rublev, Stan Wawrinka, Cameron Norrie and Dominic Thiem as participants.

Stricker, ranked at No 117 in the world, concluded his 2022 season by competing at the Next Gen ATP Finals in Milan. There, Stricker made the semifinal before losing to Jiri Lehecka.
Going into the 2023 season, Stricker plans to challenge himself against some of the biggest names of the game in Saudi Arabia. The tournament organizers are hoping to have an outstanding tournament edition. “As the host of international tennis stars, the Kingdom continues to show its excellence in hosting international sports events, which has made it home to various sports, including this event – in which international stars will participate – that we are happy to organize.
The 2019 Diriyah Tennis Cup achieved great success which attracted thousands of fans from the Kingdom and abroad, and in this edition, we look forward to continuing these accomplishments and watching great competitive games in historic Diriyah, in the presence of fans of tennis, a sport that is highly popular in the Kingdom,” Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, sports minister and chair of the Diriyah Season Committee said Since Stricker is ranked outside the top-100, he will likely have to play in the qualifying event at the Australian Open. It remains to be seen if the Diriyah Tennis Cup can set Stricker up for a big 2023 season.
