John Isner has come to Novak Djokovic’s support as the American believes that is absolutely ridiculous to have the Serb again missing Indian Wells and Miami just because of his vaccination status. Djokovic, 35, is again missing Indian Wells and Miami because he is not allowed to enter the United States as an unvaccinated foreigner.
But from May 11th, those restrictions are expected to be lifted, which means that Djokovic will be allowed to compete at the Cincinnati Masters and US Open. “Don’t worry guys, on May 11th he will be deemed safe enough to enter the USA.
Until then, he’s far too dangerous. Do not question the science, our government has been spot on with all things Covid since the onset,” Isner tweeted.

Isner not impressed with the Djokovic US Ban
On Friday, Djokovic was beaten by Daniil Medvedev in the Dubai semifinal.
Just a couple of hours later, Florida senator Rick Scott tweeted that Djokovic’s request to be granted a special permission to enter the United States was denied. Following his Dubai exit, Djokovic revealed his plan in case he was denied participation in Indian Wells and Miami.
“I don’t know what ‘the rest’ is. I’m still waiting for the news from America. If there’s no America, I guess I’ll play clay. Monte-Carlo is probably the next tournament. If that’s the case, I’ll take some time off, I’ll prepare.
Clay, as we’ve said, is the most demanding surface. It takes time more than any other surface to prepare for. Look, the year is long. I started off the year in a best possible way, winning many matches in a row, winning Australian Open.
That’s the one that I looked for the most. That was the priority in this part of the year. Of course, any other tournament win is a bonus. I will always give everything I possibly can to play my best tennis in every tournament. Yeah, look forward to the next challenge,” Djokovic said.
