Uniqlo has released a commemorative edition of Roger Federer‘s RF cap. Federer, a 20-time Grand Slam champion, retired from tennis at 41 after last year’s Laver Cup. Uniqlo is now launching the new edition of the RF Cap, which is available for sale in select Uniqlo stores and on the Uniqlo website.
“The RF Cap has been a very special part of my tennis career and has allowed me to connect with my incredible fans. I feel grateful for all the love and support and I hope people can enjoy this commemorative edition,” Federer said in a statement.
Last Sunday, Novak Djokovic won his tenth Australian Open title, a record. After Djokovic’s triumph, Federer congratulated the Serb on his great day. “Amazing effort, again! Congratulations,” Federer wrote on his Instagram Story.
Just a couple of days earlier, Djokovic mentioned Federer after one of his wins. “Let’s give a big round of applause to Roger guys. He deserves it! I’ve had some great battles over the years with Roger that’s for sure. Tennis misses him for sure.
I saw him dressing very smart the other day for [Paris] Fashion Week. I have seen him skiing. I want to challenge you to a little ski race in a few years. But yeah, he’s enjoying life, it’s nice to see him. Obviously, for tennis he has been one of the most important players in history.
Federer shared this Tuesday on his social networks his collaboration with a Swiss artist, Ugo Rondinone, with whom he left postcards in which he collaborated in the immortalization of his hands and his face. The Helvetian has been participating in all kinds of activities, enjoying his life beyond professional tennis.
Roger Federer is a true legend
20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer believes it is important for even the greatest and most successful athletes to reinvent themselves. “It’s always very interesting to see what the greatest athletes of all time ended up doing once they stopped,” Roger Federer said in a recently-released interview to CNBC, months before announcing his own retirement.
“In my case, I’ve tried to reinvent my trainings with my teams, where I train, when I train, how often I train, with whom I train, many many times to keep it interesting, because if you do it always in the same place, (it gets) too boring,” the 41-year-old revealed. “So I needed to be exciting and this is where you have to challenge yourself.”
