There has been an announcement by Tiger Woods that he is withdrawing from The Masters’ tournament on Sunday morning. In the early part of the tournament, there was a lot of hope that Woods would hold out to the end and achieve a good result, but it was clear that he had sustained an injury that would require a long recovery time for him.
It is sad and disappointing for the fans of this great golfer, but they are aware that there are times when we are powerless to change things. “I am disappointed to have to WD this morning due to reaggravating my plantar fasciitis.
Thank you to the fans and to @TheMasters who have shown me so much love and support. Good luck to the players today! “- Tiger Woods wrote.
Ewen Murray and his reaction
As a result of his injury, there has been a lot of reaction from the golf world as a whole.
A Sky Sports commentator and broadcaster, Ewen Murray, was among the people who were particularly saddened by the news. Woods is so important to Murray that he even shed a tear over him. In spite of all of this, Ewen has no doubt that Woods will come back stronger after everything he has been through.
“I’m aware of the work/effort Tiger requires to prepare for play. I’m fortunate to have lived in his era and witnessed his excellence. Tonight, I’m not ashamed to say I shed a tear. An outstanding golfer and sportsman.
There is much he can do in the future for many, and he will”- he wrote. TV presenter, Dan Walker noticed that Woods had hard times while walking. “Finding it quite sad watching Tiger Woods hobbling around at #TheMasters”, – he wrote.
There are many people who sincerely hope that things like this will not be the end of Woods’ career and that he will come back stronger after all that has happened.
