As reported by the XULA website, for the seventh consecutive time, Xavier University of Louisiana is ranked fifth in the NAIA men’s tennis coaches poll. The NAIA announced the rankings Wednesday. The Gold Rush are 3-1 with a three-game hitting streak that includes a win against ranked opponent, Lindsey Wilson.

In the top 25 for the 125th time in a row, the longest active streak in NAIA men’s tennis. That streak began on April 4, 2007.
In the top 20 for the 116th time in a row.
In the top 15 for the 111th time in a row.
In the top 10 for the 12th time in a row and the 95th time in the last 98 polls.
In the top five for the seventh time in a row.
The last time the XULA men were lower than 11th was on February 22, 2011, when they were 14th.

The university is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, primarily participating in the Red River Athletic Conference as of the 2021-22 academic year XULA competes in 12 intercollegiate varsity sports: men’s sports include baseball, basketball, cross country, tennis, and track and field; women’s sports include basketball, cross country, softball, tennis, track and field, and volleyball; and coed sports include competitive cheering.
