
Xavier University of Louisiana remained in fifth place in the NAIA women’s tennis coaches poll, announced Wednesday. As reported by the XULA website, The Gold Nuggets have seven straight wins and 12 of their last 13. They have seven wins this season against NAIA ranked opponents.
This was the third poll of the season. A year ago the Gold Nuggets were 15th in the third poll. Here are some data. XULA women’s team is: In the top 25 for the 88th consecutive time. In the top 20 for the 88th consecutive time. In the top 15 for the 47th consecutive time.
In the top five for the fourth consecutive time. XULA will meet Saturday NAIA No. 15 Ave Maria at Cottage Hill Tennis Center and 10 a.m. Sunday against NAIA No. 6 Southeastern at Copeland-Cox Mobile Tennis Center.

The university is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, primarily participating in the Red River Athletic Conference as of the 2021-22 academic year XULA competes in 12 intercollegiate varsity sports: men’s sports include baseball, basketball, cross country, tennis, and track and field; women’s sports include basketball, cross country, softball, tennis, track and field, and volleyball; and coed sports include competitive cheering.
